Individual: Interrail offers a whole range of different passes. Choose the pass that best suits your journey, whether you are planning a weekend trip to Paris or three months travelling through Scandinavia.

Flexible: Interrail allows you to decide spontaneously when you want to get on the train and whether you’d rather stay an extra day at your dream destination.

An overview of the Interrail passes

Global Pass

Probably the most popular product for backpackers. It allows you to travel through Europe as flexibly and cheaply as possible. The pass is particularly affordable for travellers under 28.

One Country Pass

If you only want to travel to one specific country, there is a one country pass. You can find the prices here. The passes cost different amounts depending on the country and the number of days you are travelling; for three days of travel, they cost between 80 and 200 francs. Experience shows that the One Country Pass is only worthwhile in more expensive countries such as France, Great Britain, Spain, Germany or Scandinavia. In Eastern Europe, normal tickets are usually cheaper.

Reservations

The only catch on an Interrail journey is the reservations. On certain trains (e.g. TGV, Frecciarossa or night trains), a seat reservation is mandatory. Different regulations apply in each country, so it’s best to find out about them before your journey starts. We have compiled the most important information on reservations for you.

Don’t want to get lost in the maze of reservations? On our booking platform, we also offer you the complete Interrail journey including the necessary reservations for all trains throughout Europe. It is also possible to make reservations only.
