Milano

The city with the grand cathedral and beautiful clothes. If you want to dress as stylishly as the locals, you'll probably need more time to pack your suitcase than you'll end up spending on the train.

Why take the train to Milan

Cheap: Trips to Italy are very affordable. The ticket from Zürich to Milan with the Swiss half-fare travel card starts at 29 CHF.

Environmentally friendly: Are you considering traveling to Italy by train? The climate will thank you for it! A train journey consumes about 10 times less CO2 than the same route by plane. As you can see, traveling by train is something to be proud of!

Flexible: No more studying traffic reports, no more wondering whether to take the Gotthard or San Bernardino route, just hop on your reserved seat and travel from Zurich or Bern to Milan in 3 hours, even during Easter – with trains every 30 minutes. From our own experience, we can say that trains in Italy are much more punctual than their reputation suggests.

Large tables – ideal for working or playing cards with friends, Wi-Fi – so you can start looking for a pizzeria for dinner, and a dining car – so you can start your vacation with coffee and croissants or an aperitif.
